What is Emotional Literacy?
Emotional literacy is the ability to notice, name, understand, and communicate what you’re feeling so your emotions become useful informants instead of invisible forces that run you.
A few core skills for emotional literacy include:
Awareness: sensing emotions early
Labeling: naming the feeling accurately
Understanding: knowing what it’s about
Translation: identifying what the emotion is asking for
Communication: sharing feelings with curiosity and compassion
Regulation: choosing how to respond to the feeling
In short, it’s the skill of naming what you feel, understanding what it means, and responding in a healthy, loving way.
Your emotions are a vital part of who you are, but many of us have been taught to suppress, ignore, or fear them. The result? Anxiety, overwhelm, and a sense of feeling disconnected from ourselves and others.

Her training in psychology, Internal Family Systems, and deep coaching empowers her to facilitate transformative experiences for those she works with.
